Sides Hardware and Shoes: A Brothers Restaurant

The last thing you would expect driving through the quiant small town of Los Olivos, CA is innovative fare and a 45 minute wait, on a good day. Inside a historic storefront they renovated, brothers Matt and Jeff Nichols serve comfort food prepared with a zesty style everyone is sure to love. If you ever plan on getting lost in Santa Barbara’s wine country, the first stop you should make is at Sides Hardware and Shoes restaurant. Time and time again, I am always impressed with the quality and outstanding traditional dishes that Sides offer.

The Kobe-style burgers, especially the mushroom swiss, make a great lunch, and the dinner favorites include fried chicken, fried Brussels Sprouts, and lamb sirloin with goat cheese gnocchi. They have turned comfort food in to an art form. It’s ABSOLUTELY one of the best good value restaurants in northern Santa Barbara County. Is it any wonder it is continually packed at lunch and dinner on a daily basis.
