Trattoria da Piero, Las Rocas: Roatan, Honduras

As I was walking along the turquoise waters of Roatan going to West Bay, I stumbled upon a true beauty.

Trattoria da Piero is Las Rocas Resort newest water front restaurant. Trattoria da Piero is most definitely the stop for you if you’re staying in Roatan’s West Bay.

The inner child came out of me as I walked up to this awesome restaurant. They had a gorgeous sea-side deck offering picturesque views of the sea, lush green trees and beautiful flowers, and did I mention swings? Yes, swings!

I climbed my overly grown child self into that swing and happily ordered my usual, Pina Colada.

As I was glancing over the menu I noticed a lobster burrito. My bartender highly recommended to order the lobster filled delight, so I did. I must say, this was the best burrito I have ever had!

Trattoria da Piero offers you something uniquely different: Caribbean Food with an Italian twist. They also offer mouth watering homemade pasta made with unique island sauces and new renditions of the islands seafood. Do you want to know the best thing about this restaurant? If you don’t like something off the menu (I know you will, but if you don’t…), you simply tell the chef what you’d like and he’ll invent something to meet your taste bud needs.

There is no better way to eat your food and sip your fruity, tropical drinks than enjoying them just a few steps away from the water. Why would you look any further than Trattoria de Piero?

Roatan is slowly becoming the “foodie capital of the Caribbean.” From the gourmet restaurants to the small locally owned and ran ones, the food on the island is to die for! Seriously, check out the great island of Roatan! You won’t regret it.
