Be sure to take some time and stop stressing over the things that go wrong because we all know no trip is perfect. Since that can sometimes be difficult to do, here are some stress-free pointers for a healthier vacation:
Plan ahead: Not only is it cheaper, it is stress free to book your flight and accommodations and create the perfect itinerary for your trip well in advance. There are plenty of vacation details that can always be sorted ahead of time and it is much better to resolve them a month or more in advance than the day of. Even if you don’t plan on visiting every landmark, you can at least build it into your schedule.
Pack smart: Mother Nature is unpredictable at the best of times. You can never know if something will go wrong, but you can come prepared. Make sure you pack a travel-sized first aid and toiletry kit in your carryon in case of an emergency. Packing an extra set of clothes is also a good idea. If you have to sleep in the airport, an extra set pair of comfy pants and a T-shirt will save your life.
Be Prepared: Keep your medical records and documents handy at all times, and have them pre-scanned and emailed to you and a friend. To avoid trouble, be sure to read Essentials Checklist for Traveling Abroad.
So what are you waiting for, book that trip! For the sake of your own heart, go travel!
