Quick Tip: Get into VIP Airport Lounges

You have most likely seen the huge signs: VIP Airport Lounge this way.  Then you probably looked down at your coach ticket and said, “Nope. I’m out,” and sat down amongst the airport crowd. Well, Negative Nancy, you’re not out. Not even close to out. Seriously, even the budget traveler can experience luxury and escape the craziness of the terminals with “keep them coming” cocktails, free WiFi, super comfy couches, and pretty decent food. Did I mention free? Yes, there is an app for that, and yes, I’m about to tell about the one I use on the regular. It’s really easy to use and super convenient for the escape act you need in that crazy cluster of a terminal.

  • Lounge Buddy

No matter how you’re flying, Lounge Buddy will help you survive your cancelled, delayed or extended layover flights. The free app lets you purchase instant access to hundreds of airport lounges worldwide, without the upfront fees and membership cards.

  • Credit Card

That beautiful credit card sitting pretty in your wallet is also a magic key to access the luxury airport lifestyle known as… the lounge.

American Express is well known for their Centurion Lounges, which are amazing and perhaps the best in America and around the world. Anyone with an AMEX can get in for $50, however, if you have a Platinum Card – totally free.

Chase jumped on the lounging bandwagon, as well. The Chase Ritz Carlton card offers complimentary Priority Passes that allow you to escape the crying babies and flustered first-timers.
