This Santa Monica Hotel Is Upgrading Middle Seat Passengers With Much Better Views

It sucks having to fly sometimes, especially when you have a middle-seat! From the cramped arm and leg space to the awkward smells of your neighbors, it is a rough sitting arrangement. But, good news for those of you who are sitting in the middle-seat flying into LAX, a hero in the form of a hotel has stepped up to bat. It sounds like to me they had a few middle-seats in the past. Santa Monica’s Shore Hotel is rewarding middle-seat fliers with a great view. The hotel has just started offering inconvenienced middle-seat passengers who fly into LAX a free upgrade to an ocean-view room upon arrival. The deal is valid now through May 26! To get the upgrade, you must book a room at the hotel before you land and show proof that you spent the flight crammed between two people. A picture always works, make it a good one! I would book a middle-seat for the chance to look out over the Pacific Ocean as the surfers catch the waves and birds fly around! That beats the landing views of a smoggy Los Angeles any day—even if it means middle-seat status for a few (long, very long) hours.

Be sure to eat at Blue Plate Taco while staying at the romantic hotel. The oysters and tacos there are to die for!

Side Note: The hotel notes that all upgrades are subject to room availability.
